  1. John,
I think your chart is the best that I have found to compare Kindles and I bet the revision is going to be fantastic. I am kind of impatient however because I am almost ready to leave for a trip driving to the tip of South America. I’ve heard that a Kindle is almost a must to have (according to other travel bloggers) but I don’t know which one to purchase and I have to be very careful with my budget. I will be using it for guidebooks and I also like to read a lot. I might also be able to download maps – do you know about this?

Anyway, I value your opinions an hope you can give me some ideas.

    Thanks,

    Gary

  2. Love this chart. Looking forward to the update with Fire HD and Paperwhite. Any idea when you’ll release it?

  3. Naomi

    Thanks for this!

  4. I don’t see why anyone would want to buy a Kindle any more. There is just so much more that you can do with a full featured tablet …

  5. Gail

John, this is an excellent chart. Thanks for your help with this decision.

    Hi!
I would like to know if the kindle paperwhite is limited by its 2 GB limited storage or the storage can be expanded by sd cards? And if its not expandable, is 1.25 GB enough for storing ample amount of books?

    • Kindle Paperwhite does not support SD cards. However, 1.25 GB should be plenty. Remember that plain text takes up very little space compared to images and video. According to Amazon, the Kindle Paperwhite can hold up to 1,100 books.

I would like to know which model of the Kindle would be best for a “low vision” person and how to obtain daily newspapers on the Kindle
