The <a href="http://wordpress.org/development/2007/03/upgrade-212/" rel="nofollow">security fiasco with version 2.1.1</a> in particular showed the potential danger of upgrading too soon. @Anthony: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the "Blogroll" section will be renamed back to "Links" in Version 2.5. I agree, I didn't like the Blogroll terminology either. @Walter: Yes, a pre-upgrade confirmation would definitely be a good idea! The security fiasco with version 2.1.1 in particular showed the potential danger of upgrading too soon.

Stable software is more important than the latest features, even security updates aren't important enough to make me want to do a X.0.0 upgrade.
